  Monika McGreal Viola is a writer based in Washington, DC. She holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University and graduate degrees in fiction writing (Johns Hopkins University) and Anglo-Irish Writing (Trinity College, Dublin). Monika has attended the Bread Loaf Writers Conference and Yale Writers' Conference, and her work has been featured in AZURE, Common Ties, Icarus Literary Magazine, Hermeneutic Chaos Literary Journal, Thirteen Ways, and Steel Toe Review. She is also involved in humanitarian work in Bosnia and Haiti, and she has lived in New York, Providence, and Dublin.
